Bachelor in Hospital Administration is a 3 year undergraduate Hospital and Health Care Management course. Hospital Administration is a field relating to leadership, management and administration of hospitals, hospital networks and healthcare systems. Hospital Administration (BHA) is a new concept in management stream. The course provides students with sufficient knowledge and skills to carry out the administrative operations of clinical and support service departments.
Master in Health Administration (MHA) is a 2-year post graduate course. The main objective of MHA degree is to prepare students for higher-level careers in health systems such as hospitals, top health-consulting businesses and healthcare firms with specialized skills and unique knowledge to achieve success in today’s healthcare environment. The curriculum includes a huge array of subjects, opportunities, and integrated experiences to supplement coursework including professional interaction, research, and fieldwork in technical, social, and market issues that generally influence the health sector.
Alva’s college of Hospital Administration started in the year 2008 with master’s degree in Hospital Administration. This course is recognized by Govt. of Karnataka and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore. In 2010 the Institution got approval for BHA (Bachelors of Hospital Administration) which is a 3 year (6 Semester) program Affiliated by Rajiv Gandhi University. Presently students are pursuing the BHA & MHA courses.
