Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) is a 2 year undergraduate academic course dealing with the development and care of the human body. It is also referred to as B.P.E. which is an abbreviated form of the Bachelor of Physical Education degree course. It can be pursued as a full-time course or a part-time course (correspondence). Physical Education course is largely suited for sports persons or those who have a passion for sports and related activities. Non-sports person needs to be energetic, enthusiastic and physically fit. All professionals in this field must be absolutely committed to the profession and the game.
Master of physical education is a 2 year postgraduate Physical education course. Physical education is a course taken during primary and secondary education that encourages psychomotor learning in a play or movement exploration setting. Students are introduced to various activities like bowling, walking, hiking, or Frisbee at an early age can help students develop good activity habits that will carry over into adulthood. The curriculum of the course mainly comprised the areas such as research methodology, exercise physiology, sports psychology, computer application in physical education and sports and sports medicine etc.
Alva’s College of Physical Education is a Unit of Alva’s Education Foundation, was established in the year 2005. It is affiliated to Mangalore University and is a unique educational institution that represents the academic and cultural character of AEF. The college offers a Bachelor of Physical Education and a degree in Master in Physical Education.
