This course combines conventional technologies with state of the art technologies which include electronics, power semiconductor devices, digital signal processors, electromagnetic, EMC, control theory, and energy technology.​

In this Course, students learn themes for the study in power electronics and drives and get an in-depth understanding of power electronics and drives. candidates may also analyze power electronics technologies and scientific discipline involved in this study and by means of electric machines and power electronic converters. M.E. power Electronics and Drives course also provide the knowledge to enable modeling, design, synthesis, and simulation of the power converter.

This course concentrates on devices, equipment and technologies that communicate data, voice and multimedia information.Course has five area of specialization: media studies, government communication, health communication, organizational communication and variety in communication. The program consists of core program devoted to the hardware description languages, design basics of VLSI systems and CAD tools.The course includes basic topics like modem digital communication techniques, Computer networks, multimedia compression techniques, and computer networks advanced radiation systems etc. Then applicants study microwave integrated circuits, optical fiber communication, satellites communication, cellular mobile communication and other related topics.

Twinned with Artificial Intelligence, more efficient solutions to find meaningful information from huge pools of data are possible today, with data from multiple sources - sensors, images, streaming video, satellite, medical imagery and the cloud.

Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering (AVCE), AVK Nager, is a private, self financing, co-educational Engineering college established in the year 2008. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University. The college is surrounded by an array of green-clad, sky scrapping mountains of the Western Ghats.

Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering has been approved by AICTE & MHRD to implement Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana(PMKVY) which will benefit 10 million youth in India .Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Under this Scheme, Training fees are completely paid by the Government.
