The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a 4 year undergraduate medical programme. Nursing education is monitored by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the programme focus on developing critical care, advanced thinking skills, proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery. The programme prepares students to become responsible citizens by following a code of moral values and conduct at all times while fulfilling personal, social and professional responsibilities. B. Sc. Nursing programme involves classroom study, projects and assignments that enable students to gain practical knowledge of their learning.After the completion of the course, the students compulsorily need to do a six-month internship to experience real-world clinical settings and learn from them.

About College

The College is run by Bahuleyan Charitable Foundation (BCF) a not-for- profit company established by Dr.Kumar Bahuleyan in 1993. The main objective of the Foundation, apart from running the Hospital and the Community Health Centre, is to establish and run educational institutions in medical, nursing and paramedical sectors, especially with a view to support women’s education and empowerment. The Founder, Dr.K.Bahuleyan, a neuro surgeon in the US and hailing from this hamlet has donated his entire earnings and wealth to the Foundation for philanthropic activities. The Board of Directors of the Foundation consists of eminent personalities from different walks of life with a social commitment.

The girls hostel, located within the campus has a hygienic canteen along with availability of indoor and outdoor games.
  • Cultural Activities – The Students Nurses Association organizes various cultural programmes on the occasion of Fresher’s Day, College Day, Nurses Day, etc. along with holding competitions in sports and games. Winners are sent for competing at the university level.   
  • Medical Camps– The students participate in medical camps organized by the associated hospitals and also organize health camp themselves for the community of Maravanthuruth Panchayat.
  • Medical Practice– The College is affiliated to Govt. hospitals and renowned specialty hospitals wherein the students get clinical experience as per the curriculum requirements set by the apex bodies.
