Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) is a 5 years undergraduate program where the course is designed to provide licensed and professional architects who are authorized to try to private constructions and government constructions. Architectural study includes the activity of designing models of building, preparing construction’s blueprint and other physical structure of any land and building. It is a technical course which mainly focuses on the development of the skills like process of construction of commercial buildings, malls, complexes, highways construction, and civil construction by applying their innovative ideas and analytical skills which are required to become an Architect.
BA Interior Design is a 3 year undergraduate Interior Designing course. The course is based on a concern for human beings and the creation of interior settings that support human activities and values. The focus of the program is to generate awareness on the functional and aesthetic qualities of the design. The program introduces students to design principles, colour theory, space planning, and drafting and industry-standard software. Interior Design program is planned to give students exposure to different kind of projects that they may come across in their profession later. It is career orienting in nature. Students can work on live projects that emulate as far as possible a practicing design studio, with each project presented to and assessed by practicing professionals.
M.Arch Advanced Design is a 2 year postgraduate Architecture program. The program is viewed as a framework in which both academic and professional concerns are explored. Overall, the program emphasizes an experimental approach to research and architectural design rigorously grounded in multiple, complex realities. The students are trained in large scale urban projects in the fields of Airport Design, Hospital Design, Housing Design, Urban Design, Sustainable Architecture, New Building Materials and Entrepreneurship.
M. Plan Town and Country Planning is a 2 year post graduate architecture design program which aims at producing planning professionals who will assume major leadership role in shaping the future of development across various planning platforms, they will become the instruments change growth and developments.
The faculty of Architecture, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education Established in 2009 with an intake of 40 students for the B.Arch program, we have raised our own bar and introduced M.Arch, M.Plan, and B.A. Hons with continual admissions proceeding successfully. The faculty of Architecture, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education aims its energies to make it a University that is renowned in its peer circle and sets a target to make each and every student capable of facing the global markets. We aim to send every student as a compulsory programme for an exchange to different affluent countries based on the student’s affordability. We will then bring out collaboration between all the mentioned (NABA – Milan, ISAD Communicazone – Milan, ARCHIP Czech Republic , University of New Castle, SUMAS Switzerland, NSAD – San Diego United States of America, Sci Arc – California USA) Universities and makes it a sharing of knowledge process. We also aim to have a tie up with Universities stretching from the far South East to the West spreading from Australian Universities to the University in United States.
