Nyaya philosophy is important for its analysis of logic and epistemology. This course is systematically designed to develop good knowledge and awareness in nyaya philosophy and also can acquire knowledge in the theory of logic, methodology and its treatises on epistemology of nyaya philosophy.

The aim of the course is to teach Sanskrit language and literature, and also to understand the cultural and social aspects of Sanskrit language and literature. Vedanta is one of the ancient spiritual philosophies in India, which literally means “end of the Vedas”. Simply, Vedanta means the culmination of Vedic wisdom. Bachelor of Arts or B.A. Sanskrit - Vedanta program is systematically designed to develop knowledge and awareness in Vedanta philosophy and rather it is an umbrella term for many sub traditions, and this particular tradition has had a historic and central influence on Hinduism.

Jyotisha is the oldest system of astrology; it is the traditional Hindu system of astrology, also known as Hindu astrology. The aim of the course is to teach Sanskrit language and literature, and also to study and understand the various aspects of Jyotisha including, Grah, Rasi, Naksatra etc.

M.A Sanskrit Sahitya is a 2-year postgraduate course in Sanskrit literature. It is a historical Indo-Aryan language and the primary liturgical language of Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. It is the official language of the state of Uttarakhand. The course’s syllabus is divided across 4 semesters ranging from the language’s origin through development, and up to now. Sanskrit has been the verifiable and trans-local dialect of scholarly life in South Asia for the longest time now. Sanskrit is the dialect in which South Asian rulers, artists, and religious diviners communicated. It is the world's oldest dialect. Numerous science and arithmetic writings have been composed in Sanskrit. It is the sacrosanct dialect in Hinduism. The Sanskrit dialect was presented by sages in sacred writings. About College

Govt. Sanskrit College was founded by His Highness Sri. Sri Rama Varma Maharaja of Kochi, who was a profound scholar of Sankrit. The vision of the institution is expressed as “Nectar is attained through knowledge”. It was with the specific goal of imparting instruction in various Sastras of Sanskrit that the courses were started. At the beginning of the 20th century, modern system of education was introduced by the British was gaining wider acceptance. On the other hand, the traditional education system was getting weaker and weaker. This caused considerable decrease in the number of students seeking ‘Sastric’ studies. Moreover, there was no well organized institution to impart traditional Sanskrit education. His Highness Sri. Sri Rama Varma Maharaja of Kochi felt the necessity of an institution to give instruction in the advanced Sastras of Sanskrit and as a result of that, he founded the Sanskrit College, the former form of the present Government Sanskrit College, Thripunithura.
