Physician Assistants are formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health care services in all the medical specialties, as delegated by a physician. Working as members of a health care team, they collect medical histories, initial examination of the patients, order for laboratory tests and x-rays and assist the doctors for diagnosis and treatment.

The Physician Assistants work in different areas such as outpatient wing, wards and critical care units, operation theaters and other super specialty units like, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Urology, Orthopaedics , Oncology, Endocrinology , Head and Neck and Plastic Surgery, Catheterization labs, Coronary care units, Organ Transplant units and trauma care etc.

B.Sc Cardiac Technology []

B.Sc. Cardiac Technology is a 3 year + 1 year internship undergraduate course divided into 6 semesters. Cardiac Technology is an allied course in medicine. Cardiac Technologists assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular testing; a tube is inserted into one of the blood vessels that carry blood into the heart.

About College

Venkataeswara Hospitals was founded in 2003 by leading cardiologist Dr. Thillai Vallal with the aim to provide high-quality, holistic medical services to the people of Chennai and beyond at a reasonable price.

Dr. Thillai Vallal is an active member of the Cardiological Society of India, the Association of Physicians of India, Indian Medical Association and European Society of Cardiology. Despite his very busy schedule, he is a senior teaching faculty at The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and is the Chairman of Allied Health Sciences (which includes 37 Allied Medical Specialties). He has been specially invited by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University to improve the quality of education offered to medical students and junior doctors. Thanks to his initiatives, a subject has been introduced by the University to educate young doctors not only on the prevention of lifestyle diseases but also on the ways and means of communicating this information to the general public in order to increase awareness of disease mechanisms and how to prevent their transmission.
