B.Sc. Fitness and Lifestyle Modification is a 3 year under graduate course. This is an interdisciplinary field that explores the complex nature of human movement and how the body responds to acute and chronic physical exertion from fitness training and, recreational and professional sports. The NCDs are preventable, within the human capacities to transform lifestyles to increase the quantity and quality of life. This would be the first course of its kind in the country addressing Fitness and Lifestyle Modification who would be the warriors of the NCDs, the diseases of Inactivity.
M.Sc. Sports and Fitness Nutrition is a 2 year course. Sport and Fitness Nutrition gives you the opportunity to gain specialist knowledge and skills in food science and manufacturing so you are able to advice on diet, evaluate treatments, write health reports and analyze food.
M.Sc. Sports and Fitness Psychology is a 2 year course. Sport and Fitness Psychology is the study of psychological and mental factors that influence, and are influenced by, participation in sport, exercise and physical activity, and the application of this knowledge to everyday settings
Post Graduate Diploma in Exercise Physiology in Sports & Fitness is a 1 year course. The course is designed to be relevant to all health professionals who have exposure to people with sports related injuries and is particularly relevant to Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, Chiropractors and Primary Care Physicians with a specialist interest in sports and exercise medicine. On completion of the course, students will have obtained a systematic understanding of the basics of sports medicine and exercise physiology, including the behavioral and life science basis and a critical awareness of current issues affecting the care of patients with certain sports related injuries and the tailored benefits of exercise.
Post Graduate Diploma in Biomechanics and Kinesiology in Sports & Fitness is a 1 year course. The programmes offered by the department will be on total fitness that integrates Medical Fitness, Nutritional Fitness, Physical, Mental and Social Fitness. The effect of exercises on various systems are given due coverage. The unique feature is the internship Programme offered to students at various Hospitals and Fitness Centers Further, the curriculum provides an insight into the importance of nutrition, nutrition standard, balanced diet and calorific value required for various levels of sportsmen. Post-Graduate Diploma in Biomechanics and Kinesiology in Sports & Fitness shall be required MBBS / Bachelors of Physiotherapy (BPT) / B.E. Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University acquired as a full-time student.
Fellowship in Fitness Medicine & Lifestyle Diseases Management is a 1 year course. It focuses on educating and motivating patients to change personal habits and behaviors around the use of a whole food, plant-predominant dietary lifestyle, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connection.
Fellowship in Sports Medicine & Sports Rehabilitation is a 2 year course. The course provides advanced professional training in the field of sports rehab suitable for the sports and fitness professionals. It includes neuromuscular, strength training and manual therapy concepts for athletic injuries of both upper and lower extremity core.
