The program aims to build in students competent business acumen through advanced study of general subjects such as Advanced Digital Communication, Modern DSP, Advanced Embedded System, Antenna Theory and Design, Digital Electronics, Error control and coding, Advanced Computer Architecture, later allowing them to specialize in a chosen area. M.Tech Transportation Engineering & Management is a 2 year postgraduate course focus on the field concerning design and construction of roads, but only recently the need of the application of scientific approach and technology in transportation and traffic management is being felt, for savings the costs and time involved in transportation. The course covers both engineering and management aspects of transportation systems, with particular emphasis on road transportation. Transportation Engineers are expected to take into account future traffic flows, the design of highway intersections or interchanges, geometric alignment and design, highway pavement materials and design, structural design of pavement thickness, and pavement maintenance etc.

Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering (JNNCE), is one of the technical institutions of Karnataka, providing excellent technical education and training to students from all parts of India. Started in the year 1980, the institution has completed 39 years of its fruitful existence towards achieving perfection in all aspects of technical education and training and has emerged as one of the most sought-after destination for technical and management education by students and parents from all over India. 
JNNCE is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college offers BE courses in 7 branches of engineering, namely, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering.
