The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a 4 years undergraduate medical programme. Nursing education is monitored by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the programme focus on developing critical care, advanced thinking skills, proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery. The programme prepares students to become responsible citizens by following a code of moral values and conduct at all times while fulfilling personal, social and professional responsibilities. B. Sc. Nursing programme involves classroom study, projects and assignments that enable students to gain practical knowledge of their learning. After the completion of the course, the students compulsorily need to do a six-month internship to experience real-world clinical settings and learn from them.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (P.B.B. Sc.) is a 2 years undergraduate program pursued for candidates interested by the sector of Nursing. A certified RN (Registered Nurse) is capable of administering preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative offerings to sufferers and communities at large.

About College

Mangalore College of Nursing was established in the year 1997.The institution is inspired by the vision of Late. Dr. Ramachandra Ulllal. He passed his MBBS in 1951 from the esteemed Stanley Medical College, Madras.  He further did his T-D P course in 1953 in Coimbatore.  He underwent his Radiology training in Bernand Institute at Madras in 1956.   He started the Radiology department in Government Winlock hospital as Asst. Surgeon in 1957. He was man of simple living, sincere, honest and systematic in his approach as a person and as a surgeon.  He was very well read, and a historian well great knowledge in every aspect of life. Later he is promoted as the District Medical Officer who founded the ullal General Hospital in 1987, followed by Hariram memorial Medical centre. The College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and is also recognized by the Indian Nursing Council [INC], New Delhi and Karnataka State Nursing Council, Bangalore.
