The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a 4 years undergraduate medical programme. Nursing education is monitored by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the programme focus on developing critical care, advanced thinking skills, proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery. The programme prepares students to become responsible citizens by following a code of moral values and conduct at all times while fulfilling personal, social and professional responsibilities. B. Sc. Nursing programme involves classroom study, projects and assignments that enable students to gain practical knowledge of their learning. After the completion of the course, the students compulsorily need to do a six-month internship to experience real-world clinical settings and learn from them.
M.Sc. in medical Surgical Nursing is a 2-year full-time postgraduate program. As an educational discipline, medical-Surgical Nursing includes superior examine in the discipline of nursing consisting of best practices, studies methodology, statistical expertise, and control strategies that shape the area.
M. Sc Child Health Nursing is a 2 year postgraduate course that caters child care needs. The program makes use of a purposeful and child-centered approach that realizes this need of children's offerings. The path concentrates on expanding research and evidence-based assessment skills among students.
Obstetrics and Gynaecology nursing are related fields of nursing where the practitioners deal with the reproductive fitness of women. They assist ladies during pregnancy, labor and childbirth, as well as women with health troubles with their reproductive system.
MIMS College of Nursing is under the MIMS Academy Trust which is a Public Charitable and Educational Trust for minority communities.
It is formulated to establish, take over or acquire, construct, maintain, manage and render financial assistance to all educational institutions (schools, colleges etc), hospitals, clinics, laboratories, dispensaries, medical research centers, family planning centers, mobile dispensaries and also provides educational facilities to the poor. The trust is governed by board of management with not more than 5 members. Dr. Azad Moopen is the Chairman of Aster MIMS. The day today activities are controlled by the managing trustee.
The educational activities of MIMS Academy trust is carried out by the Managing Director, MIMS Academy. MIMS College of Nursing is under the Director, MIMS Academy.
Under the Director, the college has Principal, Administrative Officer, Faculty and a set of clerical and other staff to run the day to day activities of the college.
