Ranganathan Architecture College is promoted and nourished by Ranganathan Rajeswari Charitable Trust, Coimbatore(RRCT),The trust is the brain child of Dr. R. Murugesan and Dr.P.Tamilarasi Murugesan. Dr. R Murugesan,President,Indian society of Technical Education(ISTE),new delhi is a multi-faceted personality committed to serve the needy people with a philanthropic attitude. He had completed his doctorate in Civil Engineering from University of Madras and has nearly 40 years of experience in academia and industry. He had served at various capacities staring from lecturer to the level of principal in various polytechnic and engineering colleges. He was the first Vice Chancellor of Anna University of Technology, Madurai. He had contributed to the mankind through his services as District Governor of Lions club, Coimbatore and he continues the same. He is an active member of various professional bodies.

Dr.P.Tamilarasi Murugesan is having nearly 35 years of experience in teaching and administration. She had completed her M.Sc, MBA, M.Phil and PhD, from various reputed institutions and served in Avinashilingam Deemed University for more than 30 years at various capacities. She is kind hearted, hardworking, able administrator, always thinking about the promotion of the student community and institution. She strongly believes that discipline and education should go hand in hand. She focuses on overall development of individual in the area such as Character, Personality , Communication besides academics.Ranganathan Rajeswari Charitable Trust also runs Ranganathan Engineering College, Ranganathan Polytechnic College.

Architecture is a demanding profession, but it can also be a very interesting, creative one. Architecture is a great field of study for those who are artistically talented and interested in creative design and the built environment. Hence, it is very important that where you choose to study. RAC created a beautiful environment to study in Coimbatore, as the main objective taken as to stimulate the young minds joins here. Apart from that beautiful inspiring setting the young minds are nurtured periodically through a range of studios, lectures, workshops and seminars, in which individual creativity can be criticality nurtured.

This program is approved by Council of Architecture ( COA ) And the institute is Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai with an intake of 80 Seats. The program emphasizes the interconnected relationship between architectural design, building technology, computation, history, theory and criticism of architecture and art. The program reflects the commitment to the cultural, social, political, technological and ecological issues of the built environment. The students here are trained to be creative, innovative, and responsible leaders in the field. The study of architecture in RAC extends from studios into the classroom and the library; they embrace the humanities and sciences, tradition and innovative effort.

The setup of the college enhances the students to bring eccentric designs through inspiring from nature. As all are having only one invisible architect, who designed nature. The Graduate Program in the School is designed for imparting a sound practical training and advance teaching in Historic Preservation, Community Design and Visualization with the help of excellent computational, library and workshop facilities.
