M.E. Computer and Communication or Master of Engineering in Computer and Communication is a two-year postgraduate Computer Engineering course. Presumably, this would be a coveted course for “everybody”, for it deals with the real challenges that the discipline is trying to solve and emphasizes the interface between the computer science, informatics practices and the society at large. It deals with the social issues related to the unprecedented expansion of ICT and touches on many dimensions that go beyond “programming” a machine. It fosters the development of problem solving and, equally or possibly more important, problem formulating skills.

B.E. Mechanical Engineering course introduces fundamental concepts of machine design system and machine operation. In this course, candidates learn the physical properties of motion, force, stress, and principles of equilibrium, elasticity, compatibility and the behavior of machines.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) []

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a 3 year postgraduate course  various aspects of computer applications. The course includes study related to computer languages, application of computer science in IT field, Data Structures, Mathematics involved in computer science, and alike.  MCA curriculum is inclined more towards Application Development and thus it has more emphasis on latest programming languages and tools. MCA course includes various aspects of computational theory, programming, algorithm design and optimization, network and database management, mobile technologies, electronics, mathematics, probability, statistics etc. BCA makes a base while MCA adds a specialized touch within the subjects studied in BCA.

About College

The Sardar Raja College of Engineering came in to existence in the year 2000 by the side of Tenkasi-Tirunelveli Highway on a Sprawling Campus of more than 25 acres under the leadership of a great Philanthropist and Educational visionary Dr.S.A.Raja.

The college started with three UG courses in engineering disciplines namely Mechanical Engg, Computer Science & Engg and Electronics & Communication Engg., and then Civil Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering were started in the year 2002 and 2006 respectively.

Three PG courses M.E - Applied Electronics, M.E - Computer Science & Engg and MCA were started in the year 2009. After that two PG courses M.E - Structural Engg and M.E - Power Systems were started in the year 2010. In 2011, we got the approval for 1 more PG course- Manufacturing Technology. In 2012, AICTE and Anna University have accorded the permission to run 2 more courses in VLSI design and Computer & Communication. As on today the college has more than 1500 students and 300 staff members in its roll.

Er.A.Jesus Raja took in-charge in the year 2000 as chairman after completing his postgraduate degree in Business Management from Australia. The college has been progressing well under his dynamic leadership.
