This is a 1 year fellowship offered to qualified postgraduates in Oral medicine where they plan and provide chemotherapy for oral cancers patients. A team of medical and surgical oncologists will guide the students who participate in this program. 

This is a postgraduate 1 year full time fellowship program in oral oncology. Only Oral surgeons with MDS qualification are eligible to participate in this program. The program offers opportunities to perform head and neck resection and advanced reconstructive microvascular procedures. 

Saveetha Dental College also offers a fellowship in General Dental Surgery for BDS graduates who wish to hone their clinical skills before pursuing a private practice. In this program you will receive extensive clinical training in the comprehensive management of over 200 patients covering all disciplines in dentistry. Students will receive a unique comprehensive training in Fixed Orthodontics, RCT, Implants and FPDs; all built into a single program.

Fellowship program in Pediatric Dentistry to enhance the expertise of graduates to treat children with dental needs and manage children with various medical and behavioral problems. The advanced infrastructure of the department not only offers the fellows a conducive environment to treat children in a comprehensive manner but also exposes them to hospital based dentistry. This one year course also provides an opportunity for students to attend case discussions, seminars and journal clubs.

Saveetha Dental College is the first college in India to introduce the Department of Special Care Dentistry and this in collaboration with the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, USA and the ABM University, Wales, UK.  This department has two sub-divisions; one for the holistic treatment of patients with infectious disease and the other for holistic management of patients with congenital diseases. Students who join this 1 year full time fellowship will receive training for medical and dental (RCT's to FPD's) management of medically compromised patients.

This is a 2 year full-time orthodontics training program designed for BDS practitioners planning to perform orthodontic procedures. Students in this program will treat and document 10 patients with full fixed orthodontic braces. 

In this 1 year full time program students will perform hundreds procedures including laminate veneers, aesthetic restorations and smile design. We train our students GPS smile and Pro Smile softwares for advanced smile design. 

This is a 1 year full time fellowship program where students will be trained to perform 30 removable / fixed prosthesis, understand the concept of occlusion and complete 2 full mouth rehabilitation cases. Furthermore students will also be trained to work on the Cerec 3 CAD system for fabrication of all ceramic prosthesis. 

BPS or BioProsthetic system is a flagship denture fabrication technique trained by Ivoclar Vivadent. Saveetha Dental College is the only academic training centre for BPS.  Students who join this 1 year full time fellowship program will treat and document 15 complete dentures with the BPS materials.  They will also receive a kit worth 3, 60,000 (articulator, facebow, materials) included in the course fee. Students can go to Switzerland and get certified as a BPS specialist that carries high value in many countries.

FDS (Implantology) is a 1 year full time course that includes material costs for 30 implants for BDS / MDS qualified practitioners. Students in this course will place 30 implants, restore over 100 implants. They will also get numerous opportunities to perform advanced grafting procedures including direct sinus lift etc.

M.D.S. Oral Pathology is a 3 year postgraduate Dentistry course. Oral Pathology is a branch of dentistry that is concerned with the diseases of the teeth, oral cavity, and jaws, and with the oral manifestations of systemic diseases. It is a science that investigates the causes, processes and effects of these diseases. The course includes research, diagnosis of diseases using clinical, radiographic, microscopic, biochemical or other examinations, and management of patients. The duration of the course is three years and it is career orienting in nature that opens many job scopes for them after its completion in many fields.

M.D.S. Prosthodontics is a postgraduate Dentistry course. The Course includes Dentists diagnose, prevent, and treat problems with teeth or mouth tissue. They remove decay, fill cavities, examine x-rays, place protective plastic sealants on children’s teeth, straighten teeth, and repair fractured teeth. They also perform corrective surgery on gums and supporting bones to treat gum diseases. The duration of the course is three years and it career originating in nature and opens many jobs for them.

M.D.S. Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics or Master of Dental Surgery in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics is a postgraduate Dentistry course. Conservative Dentistry deals with prevention and treatment of disease and injuries of the teeth, here, diseased or fractured teeth are restored with restorative materials that are biologically acceptable and aesthetically pleasing. Whereas Endodontics deals with prevention and treatment of pulp and periarticular diseases and this specialty particularly strives to save an infected tooth and maintains its integrity in the dental arch. The course is an important one that offers many career scopes for the candidates after its successful completion.

M.D.S. Orthodontics is a 3 year postgraduate Dentistry course. M.D.S. Orthodontics is concerned with the study and treatment of malocclusions, the meaning of this term in colloquial language is improper bites, which might be due to the disproportionate jaw relationships, tooth irregularity or both. The duration of the course is three years and it is career originating in nature that opens many jobs for them after its passing.

M.D.S. in Oral Surgery is a postgraduate dentistry program. It is a surgery performed to treat various kinds of illnesses, wounds and imperfections in the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and delicate tissues of the oral (mouth) and maxillofacial (jaws and face) district.

B. Sc Dental Technology (BDT) is a 3 year under graduate course. This graduation programme enables students to learn all the laboratory procedure in the field of dentistry. They will also be trained in all the advanced technology used in dentistry. The situation has a CAD-CAM centre which horns the students ability to make prothesis at its best.

BDS stands for Bachelor of Dental surgery. it is a clinical field of surgery associated with mouth and dealing with the injuries related to teeth, jaw, and gums. It is a 5 year undergraduate degree program in dentistry to prepare students for successful career as a dental health practitioner.

Diploma in Dental Assistant is a one year CERTIFICATE COURSE. It provides extensive training in Dental chair-side assistance with thousands of patients. Thorough knowledge on Sterilisation and Disinfection Protocols required for an infection free operatory. Theoretical understanding, operation and maintenance of various expensive dental equipments. Professional training on Material audit and management. Advanced training in Documentation and maintenance of Clinical records. Assisting in Advanced Dental Surgeries.

Diploma in Dental hygienist program provides oral healthcare advice and performs strategies for example polishing, scaling, taking of radiographs, placement of fissure sealants and administering of local anaesthetic. They also teach patients on approaches to enhance and maintain great oral health.

Diploma in Dental Technology is a 2 year diploma course which is an important one and has a creative response to design dental structures and make patients more knowledgeable about their dental health. In general, this professional works behind the scene along with the dentist to give the patients a perfect set of teeth. A Dental Mechanic works primarily towards diagnosing the dental problems of a patient. The basic job revolves around assisting a dentist in making dental ceramics and being responsible for the establishment of better dental care facilities in a clinic.

MDS in Pedodontics is a 3-year postgraduate program. This is a paediatric branch of dentistry that deals with diseases of the supporting and investing structures of the teeth including:

• gums
• cemented, periodontal membranes
• alveolar bone.

[MDS] in Oral Medicine is a 3-year full time postgraduate course, the eligibility for which is having a bachelor’s degree in dental sciences with a minimum of 55% marks. Certain universities offer a direct entrance test for admission in the college while others require you to have already given any of the standard tests for MDS in Oral Medicine and Radiology such as NEET MDS.

M.D.S. Periodontics is a 3 year postgraduate programme.  Periodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with diseases of the supporting and investing structures of the teeth including the gums, cementum, periodontal membranes, and alveolar bone. Periodontal diseases are bacterial infections that destroy the attachment fibers and supporting bone that hold the teeth in the mouth. The course helps to prevent the occurrence, if not curb the actual spread of damage already caused by the infection. 

M.D.S. Public Health Dentistry is a 3 year postgraduate Dentistry course.  The Course focuses on preventing and controlling dental diseases and promoting dental health through organized community efforts. Public health dentists promote oral health by assessing the oral health needs of the community, developing and implementing oral health policy, and providing programs and services that address oral health issues. The course is an important one that provides jobs in many fields after the completion of the course.

The Masters program in Implantology is a two years Clinical Degree program. The candidates will be trained both didactically in terms of lectures, webinars and seminars, as well as in high end Implant treatments. In the first year students will write an exam on biostatistics and research methodology and one paper on the basics of dental implants (Curriculum is same as final year UG implant paper). The final exam will have 2 papers. Diagnosis and Treatment planning of Implant  and Surgical and prosthetic management of Dental Implants  along with a practical exam which includes Diagnosis and Treatment planning of Implant/ Surgical placement of Single implant and Immediate loading.
