B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) is a 3 year undergraduate medical Lab technology program. Medical Laboratory technology program also known as medical laboratory science is an allied health profession that is concerned with the remedy, prognosis and prevention of disease through using clinical laboratory tests. During the program these tests help candidates to examine and diagnose, detect and treat illnesses. Moreover the program deals with the collecting of information's sampling, reporting, checking out and documentation.
B.Sc. Medical Imaging Technology is a 3 year course and 1 year compulsory internship, divided into six semesters. The discipline involves the techniques and processes employed in creating images of human body parts for clinical purposes or in medical science. The course is designed with a diversified plan of study in advance imaging (MRI and CT), healthcare management and general knowledge about the discipline.
B.Sc Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technology is a 3 year undergraduate degree course. Operation Theatre and anaesthesia technician is an allied healthcare worker who assists with the administration and monitoring of anaesthesia and has an extensive knowledge of anaesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies, and technology.
Anaesthetic technicians are involved with all aspects of the delivery of a patient's preoperative (The period, Before, during and after the surgery) anaesthetic care, taking into account the patient’s religious and cultural beliefs and respecting their right to medical privacy and dignity at all times. Anaesthetic Technician also provides a key role in the emergency resuscitation of patients.
B.Sc. Renal Replacement Therapy & Dialysis Technology is a 3 year undergraduate degree. The course is designed to prepare students to administer haemodialysis treatments for patients with renal failure, under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Dialysis technicians monitor and operate dialysis machinery, which removes waste and excess fluids from the blood of patients whose kidneys are no longer functioning properly. In addition to preparing patients and monitoring dialysis treatment, dialysis technicians also prepare post treatment reports. They also work on protocols for equipment evaluation and training materials for patients and staff. Dialysis technicians generally work under a physician or nurse's supervision, usually in a hospital, clinic or home-dialysis program.
B.Sc. in Respiratory Therapy is a 3 year undergraduate degree course. Respiratory Therapy is a relatively new branch of Allied Health Sciences and a profession devoted to the scientific application of technology in order to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, management and care of patients with cardiopulmonary and associated diseases. Respiratory therapy curricula typically cover coursework related to the health, function and treatment of the heart and lungs.
