GNM stands for General Nursing and Midwifery and focuses on educating nursing students on the topics of general health care and midwifery. Nursing and Midwifery focuses on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life from conception to death. Duration of the course is 3 years.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a 4 years undergraduate medical programme. Nursing education is monitored by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the programme focus on developing critical care, advanced thinking skills, proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery. The programme prepares students to become responsible citizens by following a code of moral values and conduct at all times while fulfilling personal, social and professional responsibilities. B. Sc. Nursing programme involves classroom study, projects and assignments that enable students to gain practical knowledge of their learning. After the completion of the course, the students compulsorily need to do a six-month internship to experience real-world clinical settings and learn from them.

Swathi Group of Institutions was established in the year 1988, initially with General Nursing and MPHW Program with intake of 50 seats to train young students as devoted proficient nurses, capable of contributing effectively towards the growing health demands of the health sector. With more competition among students to get admission into the institute and produce more nurses we started Sri Krishna School of Nursing in 2005. Later during the year 2005-2006 Sri Chaitanya College of Nursing offering B.Sc Nursing Program, was established. All colleges under Swathi Group of Institutions are affiliated with Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada and are approved by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Indian Nursing Council. The Institutions are clinically attached to 750 bedded Government Medical College Hospital, Tirupati.

The College organizes campus interviews & arranging posting in various reputed Hospitals and colleges throughout India. Most of our old students got placement in foreign countries like Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Ireland etc.
