MDS in Prosthodontics is a 3 year postgraduate program in dentistry. Prosthodontics is the branch of Dentistry that deals with replacement and restoration of damaged or lost teeth using artificial tools and techniques such as dentures, implants, bridges, crowns, and veneers. They are also concerned with managing facial abnormalities resulting from injuries, birth defects, and diseases. Appearance, comfort, and aesthetics of a patient are taken care of by a Prosthodontist.

MDS in Periodontics is a 3 year postgraduate program. This branch of dentistry deals with diseases of the supporting and investing structures of the teeth including the gums, cemented and periodontal membranes, and alveolar bone. Periodontics is the area of dentistry that focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the tissues that support or surround the teeth, such as the gum tissue and the jaw bones. It also involves the upkeep of the health, function, and looks of the dental tissues.

MDS in Conservative Dentistry is three year Postgraduate program. It is the branch of dentistry which deals with the treatment of diseases and injuries that originate in the teeth. In this type of medication, diseased or fractured teeth are restored with materials that are biologically acceptable.

This field is concerned with the study and treatment of malocclusions, the meaning of this term in colloquial language is improper bites, which might be due to the disproportionate jaw relationships, tooth irregularity or both. Orthodontics is a stream of dentistry, which is concerned with correcting the irregularities present in teeth and jaws, which can be by birth or because of some accident.

MDS COMMUNITY DENTISTRY []

MDS in Community Dentistry is a 3-year postgraduate course. Community Dentistry pertains to the study of oral or dental health problems of a whole group or community of people living in a same geographical area. Enrolled students are taught on an advanced level about the legal and social aspects of dentistry, conduct of seminars, dental camps, etc., as also biostatistics.

This is a paediatric branch of dentistry that deals with diseases of the supporting and investing structures of the teeth including gums ,cemented, periodontal membranes, alveolar bone. Bacteria commonly found in the mouth can cause disease and inflammation in the gums. Those diseased gums can then trigger serious problems throughout the rest of the mouth. When left untreated, inflammation that affects the periodontal tissue can attack other structures in the mouth, such as the teeth and the jawbone.

MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery course involves the diagnosis, surgical and adjunctive treatment of ailments, wounds, and deformities of the human jaws and related oral and facial structures.

MDS in Oral Medicine & Radiology is a 3 year postgraduate program. Oral Medicine and Radiology is a specialized branch in dentistry that deals with diseases of oral and surrounding structures, oral manifestation of systemic diseases and oral and dental treatment of medically compromised patients. This Program aims to train the students ardently to use basic diagnostic procedures and techniques useful in recognizing the disease of the oral and paraoral tissues of local and constitutional origin and their medical management.

MDS in Oral Pathology & Microbiology []

M.D.S. Oral Pathology & Microbiology or Master of Dental Surgery in Oral Pathology & Microbiology is postgraduate Dentistry course. The Course includes the study which deals with the nature, identification, and management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. It is the science which investigates the causes, process and effects of these diseases. Oral pathology department is to provide basic knowledge of Normal Dental Anatomy and Histology and its pathological form for improved understanding of the oral diseases and increased skill in its diagnosis. The course is career providing in nature that opens many opportunities for them after its completion.
