MDS in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontic is three year Postgraduate program. It is the branch of dentistry which deals with the treatment of diseases and injuries that originate in the teeth. In this type of medication, diseased or fractured teeth are restored with materials that are biologically acceptable. Endodontics is the science of prevention and treatment of pulp and periradicular diseases.
MDS in Oral Medicine & Radiology is a 3 year postgraduate program. Oral Medicine and Radiology is a specialized branch in dentistry that deals with diseases of oral and surrounding structures, oral manifestation of systemic diseases and oral and dental treatment of medically compromised patients. This Program aims to train the students ardently to use basic diagnostic procedures and techniques useful in recognizing the disease of the oral and paraoral tissues of local and constitutional origin and their medical management.
MDS in Oral Pathology is a 3 year postgraduate program. Oral Pathology and Microbiology is a specialized branch of dentistry that deals with the nature, characteristics, cause, effects, and diagnosis of diseases that affect the oral and maxillofacial regions. It studies the teeth structure and facilitates appropriate maintenance of the same. Students enrolled to the course are trained to deal with the nature of oral diseases, their causes, and effects, and administer suitable treatment.
MDS Orthodontics is a postgraduate course in different disciplines of dentistry. This branch of dentistry deals with diseases of the supporting and investing structures of the teeth including the gums, cemented and periodontal membranes, and alveolar bone. Periodontics is the area of dentistry that focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the tissues that support or surround the teeth, such as the gum tissue and the jaw bones. It also involves the upkeep of the health, function, and looks of the dental tissues.
MDS in Prosthodontics is a 3 year postgraduate program in dentistry. Prosthodontics is the branch of Dentistry that deals with replacement and restoration of damaged or lost teeth using artificial tools and techniques such as dentures, implants, bridges, crowns, and veneers. They are also concerned with managing facial abnormalities resulting from injuries, birth defects, and diseases. MDS in Public Health Dentistry is a 3-year full-time postgraduate course. Public The discipline of Public Health Dentistry aims at the advancement of public oral health through the exploration of related practice, research, and policy developments. The Department of Public Health Dentistry is concerned with purveying dental health education at the community level, also by means of applied dental research, administration of group dental care programs, and prevention and control of dental diseases among school-going children.
MDS in Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry is a three year Postgraduate program. This is a branch of dentistry which looks after the comprehensive oral health needs of children from birth till adolescence. Students are exposed to wide variety of clinical cases and at the end of three years, they are experts in their subject with at most knowledge, clinical experience and confidence that helps them to make difference in community health and being own boss and own a dental practice. Postgraduate students are trained and encouraged to present papers and journals on both national and international platforms. The students are exposed to diverse nature of clinical cases with various maxillofacial pathologies helping the students to acquaint themselves on management of such challenging situations.
